But then got in no problem a few songs into defeatist. walking up to the club, it looked sold out. the line went down the block and around the corner. after everyone from outside came in, it was still pretty empty looking. this place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. by the time putrid pile came on, it was looking sold out. tomorrow is definitely going to be sold out. defeatist: they were pretty good, but thiss isn't the venue for them. Their set at the elk's lodge (no barricade) will be the sort of place they need to be in. They started 15 minutes late. Also, their drumset was put up in front of the drumriser. pisschrist: I thought they were going to have the same issue as defeatist, but they did. Holy crap! When these guys hit the elk's lodge on tuesday, it's going to be rediculous. The singer is totally off the wall and jumped into the crowd over and over again. For most of the set, he was missing either the mic or the chord. It kept looking like the PA was cut, but then he would put the chord back in and they would bust out another few jams. Even the security for the club was taking pictures of him. |

But it was just a dude with a guitar and a drum machine. He's not about to do acrobatics on stage or anything. Still, that music is absolutely brutal midwest shizzle. |

They didn't really interact with the crowd at all. Mostly, the singer just headbangged in the front and then they were done. Idk, even the putrid pile answered his (relapse board?) hecklers. their last song was a naplam death cover. the singer should have dove into the crowd at that point. |

| _______________________________________ [May 26,2007 11:22am - the_reverend ""] pig destroyer: ok, to eveyone who I speculated the possibility of them playin ANb songs (since the only other time I saw them wit a sampler they did play. Oh well). The dude on sample (fromerly of triac) added a lot of the stage show. The one problem is he needs to learn to control the levels coming out of that thing. Noise kept blasting out of it way too loud. The set started out with a droney insect sound that looped over and over, getting louder and louder until the band kicked in. 40 minutes of pig destroyer is one of the best experiences. I'm in awe that scott played all the songs on one guitar and the sound is so full. They left the stage at the end of the set, but ran back on and played a dwarves cover. The sampler dude was on vocals. |
