I'm going to end up getting the 5D instead of going for the XTi, but I'll have to finance it for sure, and my credit needs help first. Top that off with the fact that the transmission on my van just shit itself, (it's been rebuilt already too...) so we're buying a new van this week, and the chances of me buying anything any time soon are slim. I took candid shots of everyone saying cheese for the camera and Pam's smile is reflected perfectly in the pool, it's pretty cool looking. |

I see her and she's blonde with a fat neck, then she's in a white dress, then she's a red head with a mic in her hands, then she's got black hair with a paris hilton bird neck, then she's a beat poet with black hair/glasses/pork-pie hat. I just look for the girl being really bitchy about whatever band is on, typically punching someone like scott from zircon. to make especially sure, I wait until carina hugs her. then I'm like, there ok, that's pam. pam, you are the living incarnate of mrs. potatohead. I'm fairly certain that you back opens up and there are different eyes and hats in there. |

I was hoping to read a nice kid rock comment or something. anyhow. Chris, what is the set up you are using? The flash looks really low to the lens like a popup flash. even with the flash set ups I use, I'm constantly fighting washed out areas. Sucks worse once you start messing with contrast. Once you get the 5D, you are going to want to go back and shoot ALL of these things over again.. trust me. the good thing about the 5D is the b/w and high ISO modes so you won't even need a flash. you can get cheap 100 watt lights from walmart and make cones and diffusers to distribute the light, but natural sunlight and a tripod will work beautifully at ISO 1600. oh, and most of the time make up never looks natural. I know some people that do horror make up and I think what you have here looks a lot more natural than the mosterous things that they try to do. |

| _______________________________________ [May 29,2007 11:06am - the_reverend ""] I was wondering what you were using since the images don't look scanned and you get them done faster then film->scanner. those p&s cameras, while pretty decent, make rather flat images. the larger sensor area of the dslrs. When you up the size of the photos above the web-sized versions here, you will definitely see the flat-ness of the images. |

I'll get it, believe me. I've got some great ideas coming up, but I'm literally waiting for the new camera to even start them. Pam's going to be in a really gory one, I've got a classy nude shoot and a serial killer going batshit. Should be an interesting year once the new camera comes in. I might just rob a bank or hijack an armored car and get one. Maybe not, nobody would watch my kids while I'm in jail. |
