HAIL OF BULLETS (Martin van Drunen!!!)[views:2609][posts:5]_____________________________________ [Aug 5,2007 10:26am - AUTOPSY_666 ""] HAIL OF BULLETS http://www.myspace.com/hailoffuckenbullets At the end of 2006 former PESTILENCE / ASPHYX vocalist Martin van Drunen, ex-HOUWITSER bassist Theo van Eekelen, GOREFEST drummer Ed Warby and both THANATOS guitarists Paul Baayens and Stephan Gebédi hooked up for a serious drinking session in the city of Amersfoort, Holland. A mutual love for old school Death Metal bands like AUTOPSY, BOLT THROWER and MASSACRE resulted in the idea to form a band together. Easier said than done, because Martin's current band DEATH BY DAWN, Paul's and Stephan's band THANATOS and especially Ed's band GOREFEST are very active at the moment recording new albums and playing loads of shows. Nevertheless, all five were very enthusiastic about the idea and started writing material for the new band. We've written quite a few songs so far and we'll probably record a demo/promo CD in June/July 2007. Hopefully this promo will get us a record deal with a strong label, so we can start concentrating on our debut album and live shows. Our biggest problem though was finding a suitable name for the band. It seems every possible name has already been taken by bands we never heard of and probably nobody will ever hear from again, but still all cool names had been taken. After tons of ideas and suggestions we have decided on the name HAIL OF BULLETS, so keep an eye out for us... we won't take any prisoners! :bow: |

HAIL OF BULLETS was formed in late 2006 by former PESTILENCE / ASPHYX singer Martin van Drunen, ex-HOUWITSER bass player Theo van Eekelen, GOREFEST drummer Ed Warby and both THANATOS guitarists Paul Baayens and Stephan Gebédi. A mutual love for old school death metal bands like AUTOPSY, BOLT THROWER, MASSACRE, CELTIC FROST, and DEATH resulted in the idea to form a band together. The band is ready to record their debut album in February 2008. The as-yet-untitled album is expected to be released by Metal Blade Europe in May of 2008. |
