We had 2 very, very, very, very long practices 2 weeks ago--about 25 hours of non-stop The Body Farm over just 2 days. We practiced again last week for about 10 hours in one day. The first recording sessions (drums obviously) will be done on September 8th and 9th at a home studio in Rockland, MA. The studio is owned by a guy named John, who has been a friend of Eliot, our drummer, for a long time. Luckily, he lets Eliot record his projects there for free, no matter how long it takes. John has been recording fusion and techno amongst other styles for at least 15 years or so, and Eliot is very proficient at recording whatever the hell he wants as well. I've heard samples of each of their work, and even though the styles of music weren't my forte, the sound was awesome. With the production assistance of Niccolai and Max, and the strict expectations that I know we all have collectively, this CD will sound BIG and crushing, without over-producing or sacrificing anything in the process. And if we post 20,000 myspace messages, I'll kill myself. Oh, and since when is this a banner, Nick?! It's not done yet mothafucka! |
