it's actually changed quite a bit. 15 years ago the locals were mostly punks, travelers and street artists, and there were 5 record stores on that street alone. it's way more corporate now.
and carina, antonio's is just about right across the street from nice slice, next to the avon.

That's too bad -- I read Aaron's gripe quickly -- I thought he was referring to the vast array of freaks, now I realize he was talking about sorority sluts. Yeah Thayer St. used to be a cool place to skate, buy records, hang out, etc.
