Voivod was playing a different club in Corpus that night (they were on the Negatron tour) We were touring with Incantation and we switched slots with them so we could catch the Voivod show. Seth had met Piggy back in the 80's when Executioner played with Voivod on the Killing Technology tour. Piggy remembered Seth and we were all talking and Piggy said he'd come watch our show. Piggy showed up about 5 minutes after our set ended. Now normally I would've been bummed but that turned out to be one of the WORST shows we ever played. (and I mean that in a bad way. sometimes a terrible AC show can be totally awesome but that show just sucked in every way possible) So Piggy was doubly cool. He actually showed up like he said he would (most people saying they'll come see your band are full of shit) and he missed our totally shitty set. I would've been embarrassed if he saw that show. Cool guy, amazing guitar player. Too bad they couldn't remove his cancer and put it Newsted. |
