Before Roadrunner redefined peoples perception of death metal in my opinon with bands like Suffocation and Gorguts who just did the chug chug thing too much. Speaking of Suffocation, I am a big fan of Malevolent Creations "Eternal" which featured the same great drummer as on Suffocations "Despise the sun" which sucked. The track "they breed" always cracks me up because of how they don't be around the bush with the whole hate blacks thing. |

I am loving the feel and enthusiasm of a lot of these bands and it brings back memories of the glory days. Some I'd recommend Warbringer (the best and most promising one in my opinion), Avenger of Blood, Devastator, Hatchet, Dekapitator, Hyades, Reanimator, and Strikemaster to name a few worth looking into. |
