2007 Maine Bowhunting season "Day 1"[views:1305][posts:2]_______________________________ [Sep 27,2007 7:50pm - Hoser ""] Headed out at 0530 for a 0628 sunrise and damn it was fucking hot. I strapped my tree stand on my back and headed off without a hitch. It was humid as hell, so much so that I felt like I could cut the air with a knife. I thought that there would be no way in hell that any self respecting deer would be up and wandering about. I imagine that they were all bedded down close to a food or water source. Any how, I only had about 2 hrs. to hunt before I had to get off to work. Didn't see shit. Heard some red squirrels bitching about 100 yds. off, heard a bit of movement and thats about it. Tune in tomorrow. I'll be off at 0500 to meet with my hunting buddy. I took the day off so I'll be out from sun-up to sun down. Unless I kill me a buck, that is....... |
