I was just in there looking around at all the buildings & hangers. I then drove past some active coast guard station and started off-roading through the woods. Made it out to the half-mile wide former blimp landing mat where the huge radar station is. This thing is surrounded with brand new barbed wire fencing and is being fed power by semi-new telephone poles. They've torn down a few buildings and are putting some up. They're also carving up the north-south runway. The east-west runway is still being used by professional driving schools. If you go to Union St. in Weymouth you will see car's floor it down the runway and then slam on the breaks over and over again. |
