My band prior to GR was Descent. Some of it I loved but do to other members (at the time) abilities I was no able to fully realize what I wanted to do musically. That said, I like to find some people who are interested in getting something going. My influences are straightforward enough, thrash, speed, death and some black metal. I have a killer studio at my house in Middleboro and I am looking to practice/write regularly and go and play some shows. I don't have any delusions of grandeur but I'd like to see where it goes. I have posted a couple of unfinished, barely mixed demo stuff on myspace, just to show where I am at in my head and where I would like to go with. I look forward to hearing what comes from this project, the songs so far are great. I don't really hear any black metal at all, or much death metal either. I hear a lot of really aggressive thrash metal. I can almost hear Worrrel Dane singing on this stuff. |

I am definitely influenced the most by thrash. Interesting choice as far as the "singer" goes. I don't hear Warrell singing over that, and I could never hit the notes he hits. Right now I am sitting trying to imagine him singing the lyrics I have for them. I am more along the lines of Chuck Billy (Demonic and the Gathering) and Mille Petrozza. |
