I found myself laughing out loud at seriously inappropriate volumes every time the Joker killed somebody. I guess we have a similar sense of humor. Which is probably a good sign. And Nicholson was a shitty Joker. He's awesome, and he did a good job with what they gave him, but a) he wasn't right for the character, and b) the character of the Joker just plain wasn't in that script. This time around, they fucking nailed it, though. Taking The Long Halloween and The Killing Joke as inspiration for the character was the right way to go. Two-Face ruled, too. |

IE: the first Matrix movie, not a great movie, but on LSD it topped my top 5 of all time in the theatres. Ra's al Ghul should definitely make a comeback (that's kind of what he does) but maybe not for a few movies. Shame they appeared to kill off Two-Face - he could support his own movie and would fit in with the no superpowers thing. Catwoman is pretty central in the Year One time period (when they seem to be setting this) - she'd probably be the best fit. Nolan would do it justice, I think. |
