There's alot of great hardcore bands out there coming up with sick breakdowns but the consensus among alot of metalcore bands seems to be that all you need is a palm muted E chord with some goofy melodic shit in between, that and Unearth won't mind you borrowing their riffs. In death metal you just can't get away with that. It's not that I don't love big thick breakdowns. And it's not that i don't love the sound of a palm muted E chord, but if after years of playing guitar the only riff you can come up with is a new pattern of Firestorm then it's time to pull your head out of your ass....i never have anything good to say.:gun: |
