post hilarious fringe presidential candidates[views:5751][posts:3]_________________________________ [Dec 31,2007 11:03am - INFECT ""] We've all heard about Ron Paul, but lets see who can earn the most political scene points by dredging up the most obscure and ridiculous candidates running for office this year... I submit these two fine fellows: Saint Michael Jesus the Archangel, Republican party http://www.archangelmichael.info/ This gadfly candidate -- who also uses the name "Saint Michael Jesus the Archangel" (note: formerly named Philip Silva until he legally adopted the Archangel moniker in 1996) -- appears rather delusional. "From the time I was a little boy I knew I was God and Michael the Archangel, but I didn't dare tell anyone, not even anyone in my family because I knew that the devil, Satan, was going to try to murder Me, and indeed he did try, four separate times," he explains. He says he's a Vietnam War veteran who attempted suicide due to depression and paranoia. He also claims he later became a "a volunteer Secret Agent for the Central Intelligence Agency without pay." A former janitor, he is a self-employed "writer" these days. As for politics, he describes himself as a "radical conservative Republican" who recognizes "the fact that America is an official Theocracy." Archangel was arrested on attempted murder and other felony charges in March 2006. "As a matter of fact, he is crazy. Anyone in their right mind can see that," said the Sheriff who arrested him. John Taylor Bowles, American National Socialist Party http://www.bowlesforpresident.com/ from his website, about the early days of the american nazi party; "Phase One was the most spectacular and in many respects the most misunderstood phase, a misunderstanding which to some degree persists to this day. It involved a series of flamboyant and sometimes downright bizarre publicity stunts such as dressing Rockwell himself and small numbers of supporters in quasi-Third Reich style uniforms and then picketing the White House; trying to conduct chaotic open-air rallies on the Washington Monument grounds; starting a riot when Rockwell tried to speak in Times Square in New York to a mob of thousands of screaming, frothing Jews; dressing up in gorilla costumes and riding around New York posing as the "Lower Volta delegation to the United Nations; donning gorilla suits again and running through the 1964 Democratic convention yelling "Ah's de Mississippi delegation and ah demands mah seat! "; riding through the South in a Swastika-spangled "Hate Bus", etc." kinda reminds me of the south park with the underwear gnomes, phase one: dress up in gorilla costumes phase two: ? phase three: white victory! |
_________________________________________ [Dec 31,2007 11:12am - DestroyYouAlot ""] Jonathon "The Impaler" Starkey, head of the "Vampires, Witches and Pagan Party." He got in a bit of hot water for announcing that he would impale Bush if elected; he had to clarify that he would impale the former Texas governor ONLY once elected, and that G-Dub was in no current danger.
