The singer sounded like the singer of arab on radar sent through mike patton's collection of equipment and contraptions (kaos pad and some sort of signal generator thing). They played on the floor lited only by some spencer's gift lights behind them (on their amps), square colorchanging panels. It they had had the one with blue lightning i totally would have called them on it. |

They sound a lot tighter and heavier. Less punk than the playgirl! demo, more hardcore. More of that southernish guitar parts. The drums are heavier too. How anyone can be that drunk on stage and still remeber to thank their "almost famous" favorite soccormom photog is beyond me. Get more than 3 drinks in me and i'll be vomiting and crying as i crawl towards the bathroom like a baby. People in the audience had also been drinking too so there was a far amount of heckling. i was messing with my new camera for 1/2 their set and my "usuals camera for the second 1/2. this trip to the as220 is my first for a while. i forgot how hot it gets in there when there are more than 10 people in there. |

(how that happens when obriens sub is blown out idk). The bassist had a get killed millitary jacket on. That rules. The crowd came all the way forward for them. Beers were drunk right up in the front instead of in the back. What a novel idea! This looks like it's going to be an awesome crowd for st. Jude. But we'll see. This might be the first time ive survived pvd with out getting beer in my shoe. |
