Anyone know any good places, This would be for deal metal so we would need the studio to have triggers. We'd also probably have it mastered by someone else other than the guy who would record us.

Check out Mudskipper Studios. He's in our top friends. He's located in Arlington, but he's awesome. The rate's are really, really, ridiculously cheap, and he's overall just awesome (he recorded the shit on our myspace).

Triggers are not needed. Any sound replacing software will be better actually, like sound replacer(pt) or drumagog ( I have this and shit loads of samples, it rules!) I have an alesis trigger unit but don't use it during recording, because I favor the drumagog because it has way more options.

Well as long as your recording digital, I could sound replace the kicks and snare. I have protools and sonar & drumagog.

Shit, I could help you guys out if you needed. I just finished up recording this band from gloucester called rusted embrace (www.myspace.com/rustedmbrace). they have a few songs up there from the session.

I used sound replacement on the toms because the original tracks didn't sound too great....the drummer is good, but the toms didn't come out too well for some reason. I didn't trigger the kick or snare though; they still came out good IMO

I'm going to be investing in alot more gear in March most likely. If you guys are still looking for someone around that time, let me know. i'll definately help you guys out

You don't necessarily need triggers if the guy recording knows how to mic right. The guy who recorded us used a regular kick mic and I swear it sounds like our drummer is using triggers but he isn't.

$30.00 a song for that. Like Immortal13 said he's in our top friends.
