One thing to note if you ordered from Front Range is that the guy makes the sound clips with Vic Firth maple sticks. I forget which model. But that brings out a slightly darker stick sound and the lower pitched overtones. If you use hickory sticks, like most of us do, the stick sound will be a little bit higher and there will be more mid-range overtones. Basically, it'll be slightly brighter.[/QUOTE]
