Blu Ray vs. HD-DVD[views:1607][posts:15]________________________________ [Feb 18,2008 11:49pm - Pires ""] Obviously Blu-Ray is winning the war, but what is everyone else's opinions? I'm thinking about getting a PS3 only because of the price of a Blu-Ray player is the same as a PS3. Anyone out there have any problems playing Blu-Ray DVD's on their PS3's? I found on my old PS2, there were some problems (i.e. skipping, stopping, etc.) before the thing shit the bed and I had to buy a new one. Hopefully this problem has been fixed cause I wanna watch some kick ass movies in high def! |

Not to say the PS3 will never fail or the Xbox360 will definitely fail, but the numbers are staggering. |

The only good thing is that when it is declared "officially" dead is that best buy and circuit city etc. are going to be blowing them out. I am going to buy alot! |

_________________________________ [Feb 19,2008 12:08pm - xmikex ""] There really is no difference between the two. DVDs as a whole are going to be obsolete soon enough anyways. I don't see any reason why anyone would go out and buy a specialty deck just to play Blu-Ray dvds. |

________________________________ [Feb 19,2008 6:28pm - xmikex ""] There's a ton of money to be made in licensing charges for creating and distributing Blu-ray as opposed to HD DVD. That's the biggest reason why the industry has pushed for Blu-ray |
