ok computer tech freaks please help[views:3121][posts:37]___________________________________ [Jan 18,2004 9:33pm - subjugate ""] first - my computer won't shut off at all or restart with out me shutting off the power strip secondly - my linksys dosen't work i had to unplug it and go from the network box direct to the cpu just to post this this shit worked at 12pm when i left for practice i came home to this stuff not working have been trying to get it running since 5pm i ran a virus scan it came up negitive any thoughts or ideas (keep in mind i'm a moron when it comes to this shit so please dumb it down massively if you do have any ideas ) |

I would also plug into the linksys (router I'm assuming) and open a command prompt and type "ipconfig" and see if you are getting an ip from the router. |

Also his ISP didn't like the MAC address on his router or something. So I just had it clone the address of his PC, which always worked fine in the past without the router.
