ESPN reported today that a lot of Jets players are upset, and griping to the media that the organization is spending so much money on new acquisitions instead of their established players. I guess they'd be happier throwing more money at the same guys who produced a stellar 4-12 season than trying to make the team better. I gotta hand it to the Jets though, most teams wait until mid-season to fall apart emotionally. They seem to be hell bent on getting it out of the way ASAP. - Warren Sapp for announcing retirement from his 13 year, 7 time pro-bowl career a couple hours after BRETT FARVE announced his. I heard today they were talking to Hank Poteat, who, even though he knows the Patriots schemes, does nothing for me. takeo spikes is good and he would be a good addition but he is probably looking for a long term deal to finish out his career somewhere and I dont see the pats shelling out the money he'll want for another 30+ year old linebacker who is in the twilight of his career. I'd much rather see them spend that money on younger players to get that defense off the AARP call sheet. |

His whole last season was messed up with injuries, but the guy has a ton of potential. The couple weeks he did play this past season he put up 100 + yards in multiple games. |
