Marquita Martin, 22, was taken into custody around 4:50 a.m. and booked on a charge of child abuse. Martin was arrested at 1133 W. Baseline Road, officers said. Police said a neighbor became concerned for the child's welfare and called 911. Officers said they found the boy inside the apartment unharmed but very scared. Martin had left her apartment at 10 p.m. Sunday and returned at 3:55 a.m. while the boy fended for himself, police said. She was booked into Tempe City Jail. [img] |
