That 0.01% of death metal is usually amazing. Akercocke's Antichrist isn't bad but there are parts when it gets really dull and deteriorates to sections of songs that have no impact. I don't know if they're amazing but I guess they're not bad. My #1 favorite band is Spawn of Possession. Whatever anyone says about it, no one can deny that Jonas Brysling knows what he's doing. His songwriting is amazing. Also, to add to the metal opinion controversy, Meshuggah is terrible. So bad. It's a bunch of pseudo-technical riffs thrown over nonsensical drums with a cymbal hit every quarter note. It's not brutal or mind-blowing. It's dumb.[/QUOTE]
