I agree 100%, considering my dad brought me to see the 2nd one in the theatre when i was like 6, and having not really seen many other evil characters in films prior to that. But of coarse Terminator 2 came out shortly after which I also saw in the theatre, and the idea of a shape shifting, knife wielding robot seemed almost as evil to me at the time. My mom still tells me to this day that letting me rent the original Robocop back then was one of her biggest mistakes ever.
