I'm sure it's not much different anywhere else unless you go under the table. benfo's right, the places that will make you good money want you to be experienced so you can fire drinks out at will. a friend of mine went through the whole deal and just finally started getting fridays at a local dive after working there for a year(granted, they were forced to shut down for illegal gambling for like 8 months but that's neither here nor there). you can make the same money being a waiter at a decent restaurant on a good night, and might not have to give up your weekends. |
