The robots you'll find there are animatronics, meaning that they are designed to perform a specific series of pre-determined movements and gestures. The robot in these videos is based on relatively advanced artificial intelligence. The robot is programmed to mimic actual human thought/behavior by interpreting and analyzing in a manner that resembles human thought. The questions, comments, and conversations you're hearing are genuine on the robots part. The only reason they come across as scripted is because the actual humans in the video have likely been having the same conversations and answering the same questions for days, months, or even years. Also, neither of them seems very comfortable in front of the camera. |
