| ______________________________ [May 12,2008 4:27pm - blue ""] -flips hair in the wind- yeah, i rock the olp mm3 5string stingray ripoff. the one your asking about is the same thing only with active electronics. amazing basses for the money. just be very weary that the quality control is total shit like anfernee said. out of the 3 i tried, only one was worth a damn. the other two looked and were put together like shit. for a solid month i was trying to decide between the olp and a real used stingray 5. i played them back and forth a shitload. the olp sounded 90% of what the MM sounded, i really couldn't justify the 500 extra for the real thing though. sounded just as good. i have beaten the shit out of mine consistently for a year and a half now, sounds and works just as well as the first day i owned it. the olps can easily stack up to basses in the up to 500 range. 200 for that one is a solid deal. |
