I've been critical of some of their sets and even though I see some of the dwyer points (it applies to a glut of RI bands it seems), their set was pretty excellent all around. basically the same set I've now seen 3 times. The drummer's really into it now and looks like he's having more fun. the only weak-ish point I see is that the young kid on lead guitar still doesn't look comfortable. yeah, he's playing riffs almost as old as himself, but he's doesn't look like he's having fun with it yet. I'm sure he'll be able to head bang in like 5 years. |

Strong set all around and one of the most promising debuts I've seen in quite sometime. Wanna get these guys up here in metrowest for a basement show with Deconformity. Sin of Angels - easily one of heaviest bands to ever come out of the north east. Crushing fucking sound and Dave's vokills were most unholy. Hope Dave doesn't leave pvd cause this lineup is fucking magic. Sexcrement - setlist was menstraul moneyshot, heels up, beef curtain call, assisted living lapdance, colonel angus, heard it through the rape vine, gloryhole casserole. Vital Remains - was fucking really fucking solid. Say what you want about this band but with the several different lineups I've seen them have, they've always killed and been pretty fucking pro all around. Scott improved greatly since that internet video I saw last-good for him, those are big shoes to fill. |
