i wasn't forgetting MT, what i meant was that there aren't many metal bands/fans FROM worcester as it's very scenesterish. at the metal thursday shows the attendees/bands range from all over which is why they do well

I think this is the case with a lot of the Worcester fans - they are spoiled by all the huge shows that come through here. All the big names in extreme metal play here every year and these people aren't as motivated to seek out or participate in anything smaller & local. They're sitting at home on myspace bragging about how they just saw Dimmu Borgir at The Palladium for the 15th time and posting pictures of themselves in their new Behemoth tour shirts with captions like "i'm so fucking metal". Metal Thursdays do just fine now, but I think those and even the odd Lucky Dog show with a real metal lineup would do much better if that wasn't the case.
