Hard fact, I live from paycheck to paycheck. And it sucks for me because I want to support the local brutality. How the fuck can I expect my band to get out of the driveway if I don't support my compatriots as much as possible. Still I try and rise above when I'm not hobbled by my $$$. CONSUMER ADVICE TO YOU FOLKS OUT THERE: Do NOT attend Graduate School unless you get FULL or mostly scholarship!!! Especially Library School. When I saw my old ex-bandmates play the Mideast last TUESDAY, the place was PACKED before the first band even took the stage. Inclement weather, middle of the week, whole nine yards. It was more of a noise show than metal, but I was like, FUCK. Ascendancy. Kubrick. Kevorkians. Anoxia, and SO many others. We've got the shit. And trust me, most of the people at the Mideast show would have been just delighted with a metal set, even a mixxture thereof. Not all of them are emo-washed. So let's see, unless I'm broke, or sick, or playing a show myself elsewhere . . . what's the dill-eey-yo? Ok end of rant, I'm sure it made lotsa sense-- blortch. |

It takes me two hours to get to O'Briens by train, and I live right outside of Boston. 3. I don't enjoy shows as much as I used to. There are plenty more reasons, but I won't list them. |
