I'm reading a story about how the New York media blow a quote of Papelbon saying he'd like to close the All Star Game out of proportion to the point where people in New York were threatening him and his pregnant wife. I can't even get mad because I know the Herald would do the same thing, and the mongoloids that read it would get Heineken rage over it just the same. The Papelbon "overrated" chants are typical New York retard behavior though. Yankees fans are the most deluded fans in professional sports. They don't recognize anything that happened past 1998, and will still tell you a guy like Pap sucks even when he's got the second most saves in major league baseball, and more strikeouts than Rivera. Rivera is a hall of fame caliber closer, and I don't hate the guy, but it's 2008 and Papelbon is the guy I'm going to give the ball to if I'm trying to close out a ball game. |
