Need Guitar: Epic Metal ALA Nightfall on Middle Earth[views:2288][posts:17]_____________________________________ [Jul 22,2008 4:36pm - ouchdrummer ""] So as the title posts i am getting together an Epic battle-metal style band for a concept album (based on maybe the dragonlance "Dragons" series, or "lord of chaos" by Robert Jordan, my personal fav.). The music will be in the direction of "Nightfall on middle earth" by Blind Guardian, real epic but still metal. Mostly guitar/vocal driven. Thankfully i already have two singers for this, a trained opera singer, (from my Tool tribute band) and an old school metal singer, ala rob halford, bruce dickenson. And i will play drums, i have a great bass player, (damon from "Boarcorpse" my deathmetal band) and just need a guitarist to write melody lines, and leads like crazy. I mean serious time to show off and be super dramatic. It will all be in the studio so if you wanna do 4 part lead harmonies, it will be possable. Because thats definately what the vocals are doin. These kids can really sing, and this whole project could be SO much fun. Anyone? |

It honestly would be like: I give out outline to vocalists for lyrical idea's per movement, they would give me lengths of each movement, and feel. and either vocals, me, or guitar would write root melodies, everyone would over lap ala recording bythemselves, or I would be happy to do all of that at my place so ideas could be talked about. Not a huge commitment immediately, but i think with enough professionalism (is that a word) it could actually happen. And not just be a really fun idea that never gets to fruition. But too busy is too busy. oh well. |

Although what i mean is the lead lines that cover nightfall. Literally over every part, with the exception of some of the folkie parts. |
