best venue for draw?[views:1204][posts:9]__________________________________ [Aug 3,2008 4:14pm - username ""] which venue(s) in new england get the best crowd going?? i know it depends on the band playing, and which day of the week it is, but you can see when you get to a place you haven't been to before and there's a built in crowd. :NEWHORNS: |

_____________________________________ [Aug 3,2008 7:29pm - the_reverend ""] question: does your band suck? |
_____________________________________________ [Aug 3,2008 9:42pm - guy who made thread ""] reverend, the reason why i ask is because i see a lot of good bands play to a crowd of under 25. i want to find places with a better atmosphere. i see you going to shows of bands you like all the time, taking pictures and there's literally a dozen people there, which just sucks. |
______________________________________ [Aug 3,2008 10:08pm - the_reverend ""] well, it depends what kind of band you are in. for some people, 12 people at obriens on a sunday afternoon is pretty good. For other, under 400 is terrible. Also, if you have a black metal show at holyoke's waterfront, no ones going to come. every club can have a good draw. depends on the music, the night, and lastly the venue. |

______________________________________ [Aug 3,2008 10:31pm - the_reverend ""] well... there are tons of venues out there. get on one with a band that does well in that area and bang, cash money. |
_____________________________ [Aug 3,2008 10:58pm - pam ""] Not many venues have a built-in draw. The bands draw. You may think they're a good band but if only 5 people show up every time they play...you might just be wrong. FWIW, smaller bands do best near their hometown because people are fucking lazy. And cheap beer/admission helps. |
