I know what you mean. The first time I tried to grow my hair long it frustrated me so much. I began trimming it to avoid that really awkward area that you are approching (from chin to shoulders) that I refer to as "the awkward area between short and long". I hate it. But take my word of advice, once it gets about down to your chin, start wearing it in a pony tail, after about 3 days it feels much less awkward. |

Then it got there again, so I cut it up to a little below my ears. But then it got there again, so I waited a little, then started putting it in a pony tail and gelling the remainder back behind my ears. After 2 months or so of that it all fit, which is good, cause gel is a pain in the ass and it stays on your fingers ALL day. |

Trimming, contrary to common knowledge, does not help make it grow faster, it just makes it shorter. You will hear stuff all over the internet about washing it with cold water, then hot water, then combing it all straight down, and shit like that, but nothing works. Human hair grows an average of a half inch every month, a little less in the winter, a little more in the summer, and there isn't anything you can do to change it. |
