We produce a few geniuses, and many people who push brooms. So we created a fantasy world of economics, popularity, morality, etc. where broom-pushers could feel like geniuses. This in turn reacted to itself in the hands of others. Decay begat decay. Now we have only those things which are safe for broom-pushers, and do not promote geniuses, so we've got the lowest common denominator. Consumerism. Declining IQs. Nanny State. Corporate overlords. Bureaucratic jobs and governments. But we're equal and safe and happily in denial, right? The fact that we allow so many low level people in society eventually brings us to only cater to those low caste folk. Honestly I think we should invest in education and world unity, though not centrally controlled government. IE, I think all nations should stop fucking around in other countries unless they have a reason and start building up their own. Education of some sort needs to be mandatory. some sort of eugenics needs to be developed that is fair, ie not controlled by a special interest group bent on producing one type of individual. rather than produce a superman it makes more sense to just slowly remove the negative factors in society, ie educate people with medical histories for certain diseases and conditions about what they can do to stop passing it on. maybe give people with a history for obesity/cancer/and other debilitating diseases some kind of incentive not to have kids, and give an incentive to more intelligent, healthier people to reproduce more. |
