Exactly how I added a good 60 yards to my drive when I was 13 and realized I didn't need to crush everything like it was baseball. When I'd tag along on foursomes with my uncle and his buddies I'd talk shit like crazy, make bets on the front 9 and hit from the tournament tees. Once they'd had enough to drink I'd move up to the womens' tee for the back 9; I got enough contributions to my "college fund" that summer to buy myself a playstation. I don't know what I miss more about golfing, the game or the grift. |
