________________________________ [Sep 30,2008 1:18pm - xmikex ""] Asante Samuel? |
_______________________________ [Sep 30,2008 1:21pm - aril ""] Samael will probably be playing before Amorphis. At least, that'd be my guess. It'd be AWESOME of they were headlining. |
____________________________________ [Sep 30,2008 1:23pm - inject-now ""] they should be headlining but everyone would leave. that happened last time they headlined over strapping young lad. they headlined over dimmu borgir back in 99 as well. same thing happened. half the crowd walked out. |
_______________________________ [Sep 30,2008 1:27pm - aril ""] I remember and never understood why. there's no way they'd be headlining over amorphis, though. let's hope they're over the other bands. if not, then that's just sad. |

The first three are some of my most cherished records but I think they REALLY lost it after Passage. When I saw em in NYC on that Dimmu tour, I thought they were a fucking disgrace. I would have been thoroughly justified in executing them for fagging up "Baphomets Throne". They've been dead to me since. |

At least on the New York date, Samael left a lot of the cheese at home and the synths were way down in the mix. Some tracks from Worship Him and Ceremony of opposites, one each from Passage and Eternal (that I could remember) and the rest newer stuff that sounds way better live and way way better than the Dimmu Borgir show. The dude from Amorphis wrecked his voice earlier in the tour, so singing was kept to a minimum and pretty much was only used on the singles from the new albums. Loads of stuff from Tales... and Elegy, killer set! |

________________________________________ [Oct 1,2008 12:23am - voidexpression ""] It's really a great package tour. All great 90's bands who are still kicking and still putting on solid shows. Forgot to mention Virgin Black! Best I've ever seen them, way solid. |
