Local band Appreciation - the automata (RIP)[views:22012][posts:16]this is a thread about [the_automata] ______________________________________ [Feb 18,2004 3:38pm - the_reverend ""] Yes, this band is no more… but I just started doing this thing and I can appreciate dead bands, thank you very much. The automata started back in 2000. I got to see them at the first chariots of fire. Chariots of fire was sort of a turning point for rttp. so many bands were on that show. Tons that i was exposed to for the first time. [img] [img] Anyhow, the automata started in 2000 http://www.returntothepit.com/media.php?id...march162002&pic=the_automata010.jpg As i said, i saw them for the first time in 2002. At that point, they had a very rowdy bunch of fans. Oh, the fun times and discussions that followed on internet message boards… [img] After that, i saw hem multiple times. Exit 23 was always a good time with them [img] Including a date on RTTP, they came in after running a muck in dover. That set was great. They play songs from their soon to be released CD. [img][img] They also played at the RTTP 6 year anniversary show which went down on sept 9 2002 [img] All of the members went their own ways after one last show in 2002 at the imfamous lawrence mass KOC show.
