This team needs another frontline defender, with the tear Kessel's on and the fact that he's always mentioned as trade bait I can see them pulling the trigger on some boneheaded deal for Jay Bouwmeester or something similar. Then Kessel will go on to be a perennial 50 goal scorer, Bouwmeester will leave after his contract runs up and I'll get to watch another decade of shitty hockey. And while Lucic is one of my favorite Bruins (as he's good for at least one big hit or fight a night that gets the crowd up) he's been mediocre on the powerplay; a kid with his size and skill set should be in front of the net screening the goalie, redirecting shots from the point and putting rebounds away. Lucic plays small on the pp, hovering around the half boards and behind the net and it was frustrating as hell to watch the Bruins cycle on the pp while four Leafs camped out in front of Toskala. |
