Being picked on for whatever reason is stupid, but it's what kids do, have always done and will continue to do. I do agree that standing up for yourself should not be considered wrong, but it's a fact of life growing up that kids will be picked on. Although, when a group of kids gang up on someone and kick the shit out of him/her just because of the color of his/her hair, that's just plain wrong. I'm not saying us redheads are a race, but I've dealt with being made fun of my whole life for being a redhead. I've never been beat up because of my hair, but I have been singled out for it in the past. What those kids did was wrong, no question in my mind. |
