If the government is going to treat gays like second class citizens and bar them from the same privileges as others based on their sexuality, then society as a whole either needs to push for change or accept the consequences of governmental discrimination.[/QUOTE] i'm with you on being against the violation of civil rights. i just think skipping work is a bad way to prove the point. what if a gay person's company was supportive of gay rights? wouldn't skipping work be a slap in the face to that supportive company? why make businesses pay for the government's transgressions? i think there are a lot more constructive ways for people to peacefully make their points and have their voices heard.
