Well, any slim chance the pats had of a wild card berth will be out the window with no doubt if Cassell does not come back. They are on the road against the Raiders, then home against the potent Cardinals, and then at the Bills who play them tough 9 times out of 10. Right now I MAYBE see them squeaking by the Raiders, but losing to the Cards and Buffalo. Remember the Raiders upset the Broncos IN Denver, so do not take them lightly, regardless if Denver is not that good.

I highly doubt he'll be out the rest of the regular season. If he's missing any game, it'd be the Oakland game and that's it. They can get by Oakland with O'Connell at QB. Oakland has given up.

Not going out on to much of a limb here, but the Patriots will not make the playoffs this year. their record against AFC east opponents is split, but thier record versus the rest of the AFC is not as good as most other AFC teams. They will have to win the remainder of all three games and get help. I see a NY Giants vs Titans or Steelers Super Bowl.

???

Oakland were terrible when they hadn't given up yet, now they've given up for the season (anyone who watched their game against the Chargers last Thursday will agree). The only team that's an easier win is Detroit right now.

Well i don't feel bad, cause i don't know him. If he were my bud, then i'd mourn.

Gotta be as metal as you can be here.

I definitely feel bad for him, but when you are a professional athlete you need to accept the pressure and expectations of that role. Maybe if he was Joe Nobody he could take some time off work, but many many people count on him to perform every week and he needs to get out there and do his job. Show the world that his Dad raised someone not afraid to be a man and get shit done.

Don't forget that coach Bill himself had to miss a game when his father died 3 years ago.
Doc River's father also died during the season and he had to miss a game or two when that happened.
Generally, most people miss a game when something like that happens. But, he has a 4?(not sure when his dad died) day wait until the game so I'm not sure. He'd be out of practice, and his mental state will not be top-notch.

Anyone else pissed a bit that Tom "glamboy" Brady is not at any of the Pats games? I find this fucked up. I guess he is to busy being the elitist dickhead he has become doing glamour shots in between physical therapy.

Brokeback Brady, where art thou?

my dad said the same thing about brady. he thinks brady should be on the sidelines, helping cassel. i wouldn't go that far, considering if a play went out of bounds near the pats' bench and a couple big bodies barreled into brady, it could re-injure the knee and set his recovery back, but i would like to see brady in the owner's box with kraft, showing team support.

Exactly what I mean Dreadkill. he thinks he is entitled to do whatever he pleases. Nobody is bigger than the team. he needs to be on the sidelines with cassell. Fucking A, Bledsoe stood by Brady on the sideline when Bledsoe got injured, setting up Brady's successful career.

brady's very competitive and it might be heartbreaking for him to be at the game when he can't play, but it would be nice to see him put his own personal feelings (if that's how he feels) aside and be there for the team. he's a leader and his teammates look to him for that.

I actually thought about the the other week.. about how we dont' see him at the games.
However, I remember reading that he shows up at practices to pep-talks the team. I'm not sure what to think about it. If he comes back next year and owns, then I won't complain.

when i told my dad it would be a bad idea for brady to risk his recovery by being on the sideline with cassel, he mentioned bledsoe being out there with brady too. brady should get a headset and talk to cassel from the kraft box if he doesn't want to risk his body on the sideline.

he is a stuck up bitch anyways. my sister sat him at the Beacon Hill Bistro and she said that he was a stuck up cock to her. she said his girlfriend Gazelle or whatever her name is was really nice, but he was a fucking dick acting like he could simply because he is Tom Brady. ass.

It is absolutely ridiculous to have a player who is rehabbing a blown out knee on the sidelines. Would you want to risk this happening to one of the best QBs of all time with an already blown out knee?:

Plus, just because you don't see him on the sidelines doesn't mean he's not helping Cassel and the rest of the team. There is a whole week of practice after all that none of us see, and Cassel has said in multiple interviews that Brady has helped him tremendously this season.

The difference between Bledsoe and Brady is Bledsoe wasn't on IR. No team has their players on IR on the sidelines during games.

if it makes anyone feel better, Tom Brady has a perscription for Propecia. He has male-pattern baldness. my friend worked at his pharmacy a few years ago.

Where to start.

1. I haven't heard any indication that Cassel won't be playing this game. For now I'd still assume that he's playing.

2. The Raiders are a drop dead fucking mess. Tom Cable has NO idea how to coach a football team. They've had 3 different guys calling offensive plays this season, and none of them can get the ball moving. Justin Fargas can move the ball well up the middle, and that's usually the kind of back that the Patriots D stuggles against, but that's only when his line blocks for him, which hasn't been happening too often these past few weeks. They keep saying that they're going to get McFadden more involved, but they honestly have no idea how to do it.

3. Beating the Denver Broncos isn't really the accomplishment that their record makes it out to be. Jay Cutler has more pressure on him than almost anyone in the NFL simply because if their offense can't carry a game for them, it's over. They were within 1 score or less of losing to the Browns, and the Chiefs on 2 separate occasions this season.

4. The Raiders win over the Broncos was the first time they cracked the 30 point barrier since December 2nd of 2007... against the Broncos. They have the absolute worst 3rd down percentage in the league at 25%. The Raiders, a professional football team, somehow find a way to blow 75% of their third down attempts. Mindblowing. And given their style of play they won't be looking at too many third and shorts against the Pats.

5. I'd rather have Cassel starting over O'Connell for obvious reasons, but I still don't hate our chances with O'Connell.

6. A lot of NFL players go bald from their helmets. Just ask Matt Hasselbeck.

7. Tom Brady can do whatever he wants. If he was a dick to your sister than she deserved it haha.
