But if someone gets injured and we need this guy to start you might as well just stick him in the outfield in a hospital bed with big cartoonish thermometer sticking out of his mouth. I'll take John Smoltz any day of the week. He's old, but he plays with a ton of intensity, and could be a big boost to the Sox pitching if they need it. He's had big success as a starter and a closer. I've followed Smoltz's career since his rookie year, and I'm psyched to finally have him in a Sox uniform. |
