if he was going to do something like that with laraque, he should've put him on the 2nd line. the koivu-kovalev-tanguay line was kicking ass for them late in the season. it's retarded to break that line up. also, the plekanec benching is stupid too. he's a maddeningly streaky player, but he's still one of the most skilled guys they have. maybe gainey's thinking the benching will have the same effect on plekanec that it had on kessel last year.
