____________________________________ [Jan 22,2009 12:53pm - joeycobra ""] oh sweet...and I had no idea we were playing at 5:45 lol I thought it was earlier for some weird reason. |
_____________________________________________ [Jan 22,2009 4:15pm - keynotecompany nli ""] will be there. hopefully ill catch astronomer, but havent left yet and it's over an hour there. |
______________________________________ [Jan 22,2009 4:31pm - the_reverend ""] I'm leaving in a minute. |
______________________________________ [Jan 22,2009 6:28pm - the_reverend ""] went to the wrong place. got here with out missing anyone. |
______________________________________ [Jan 22,2009 7:21pm - the_reverend ""] astronomer played pretty well considering their drummer left before they played since he had better things to do. the guitarist for forever the fallen filled in and they did 2 songs. |
______________________________________ [Jan 22,2009 7:26pm - the_reverend ""] vallon was pretty good. mostly cause some of the audience got into it. |
______________________________________ [Jan 22,2009 7:48pm - the_reverend ""] forever the fallen: their whole set was clean singing which i'm not a fan of in general. I think it would have been better if the crowd got into it. Idk why the people that were up front were up front cause they didn't look like they wanted to be there. seeker destroyer: they played 2 songs really quickly. The afore mentioned people who didn't care about being in the front all of a sudden cared when they got "stage" dived on to. It was a quick party. |
______________________________________ [Jan 22,2009 8:01pm - the_reverend ""] in fear and faith: if I know this band... Or shot this band, I don't remember them. Maybe. Their guitar work and drumming I really good, but I can't get into the vocals. They also have a cool arch of lights behind the drummer which made this already wedding reception like place look even more weddingreceptionery. They cover gangstas paradise which seems marked to be the most covered song ever. |
______________________________________ [Jan 22,2009 9:33pm - the_reverend ""] vanna: they are a dirty little not so secret of mine. Thatzs what happens when a band like this gets on my iPod. The drummer is wicked loud. They didn't seem to play for too long, but put on a really awesome set. Scott lee was there for their set too. our last night: huh... The first song I actually knew. That was weird. For me their set was a little pale compared to vanna. It might have just been in the beginning. But 1/2 way through their set, kids were falling all over themselves, the risers in the front, and each other, clamoring to be in the head of the crowd. Not too much in the way of stage diving, but plenty of crowd surfing up from the back. |

_____________________________________ [Jan 23,2009 1:28am - brownonomer ""] Astronomer sucks... what kind of band doesn't show up with the full band to play. THe only high point about this night for me was playing guitar with Seeker Destroyer and seeing so many people. |
______________________________________ [Jan 23,2009 9:16am - the_reverend ""] you were so excited to play with SD that you forgot to lock down your strap. This show was really good. I love the fact that our last night is huge now. though I didn't recognize the singer because... well.. probably puberty and really thought they had gotten a new singer. Gwen Stacy was ok, but I think that they should have switched up the tour line up for this show. gwen stacy then our last night and then vanna headlining. It's not gwen stacy's home town so they didn't get the crowd that they could of had they played before the hometown people. |

Vanna played amazing and so did vallon, our last night was really good but i agree vanna should have headlined. does the guy with the have heart sweatshirt piss anyone else off, he's just standing there with his arms crossed and doesn't even look like he's having a good time |

I hate that every local band in the area has decided to jock these guys. So many mediocre young bands sound like them. Not saying anything about them. They've always been nice dudes to me. And I've never pretended that what they did was the kind of music I dig. |
________________________________________ [Jan 28,2009 3:18pm - KeynoteCompany ""] Vanna's new material is so random. All the songs I've heard so far sound different than each other. |
