we're going there in april/may and basically booking the thing ourselves...do you need a visa to go there for vacation?
I think the easiest way for us to do this is to seperate at the airport and just say we're on vaca. But I heard you need a visa even for that...?
Anyone know anything on this bullshit...shit!?

i dont see why you would need a visa. obviously you do. but you could say you're on vacation. passports obviously you need. but you can say you wont be making any money while you're there, so you shouldn't need one. although i've never been, but have traveled europe, and all i needed was my passport.

yeah I know europe is different..I just tried calling the embassy in Australia but its a Holiday and there closed...meaning the 20 bucks I just paided for that call equals complete shit.

do it legal, get visas, get passports, etc... when bands try to skirt the system in the us/can they get fucked at some point in the tour.

Or you could go with your original plan and risk getting kicked in the ass by a giant boot.

fly in on a boomerang and if they reject you, you won't have to pay for a return flight because the boomerang will just bring you back.

Tell them a dingo ate your visa, it is a very common problem.

I don't know about australia, but you would need a visa to pull this off in newzealand if you're selling merch and charging people at the door to get in.

They'll actually give it to you in New Zealand from what I understand too, I read a series of tour stories from when Code 13 did a Pacific rim tour and they claimed everywhere they went they just brought their instruments along saying they were on their way to New Zealand to play shows and stopping in all the other countries as tourists.

Also, keep in mind at customs they may ask you to pay the worth of your equipment and you will get it back when you leave the country. That is what Peru did, but I dont knwo if they do that in Australia...
