I mean really, they're playing Jarrod's Place, do you REALIZE what it takes to get on a show at Jarrod's place??? You have to call the guy who books the totally awsome shows and say "Hey, I'm in a band, we'd like to be put on a list"....and then two weeks later you have a show. It's really difficult work. The living room too. You have to put you name on ANOTHER list. And the Trance Buddha, forget about it man, only the REAL respectable bands get on there....or you could just put your name on a list. But yea, this band totally has everything togther. I mean, just look at their website. It's got a picture of them...in the woods! It doesn't get any sicker and more professional looking then a well framed shot of your band standing in the woods. It was probably taken with a disposable camera...cuz they're DIY ya know. |

You're not a professional band unless people are familiar with your band on a first name basis. It's vital. People have gotta know who's in the band, how they all got together and what their favorite color is. The more assinine information you can fit into it the better. Super cool quotes like - “We just clicked the minute we got together,” says Matt “I plugged in, turned on, and we rocked out.” - make the band seem way cooler, cuz you know that they're all about rocking out. It doesn't hurt either to use a lot of pompous language and play your band up a whole lot to make them sound like people should actually care about it. Oh man, these guys are my heros. I didn't even listen to their music, but I just know from their website that they KICK ASS, and ROCK, and RULE all at the same time. Maybe they'll sign my AIDS medication. faggots. |
