________________________________________ [Mar 17,2009 1:53pm - DestroyYouAlot ""] SRSLY, I realize now that I've never really taken the time to fully appreciate Vol. 4. I mean, I've liked it since I got it, and it's got a few of my absolute favorite Sabbath songs on it (Snowblind, Supernaut), but I've never sat down and picked it apart the way I have with the previous three. Especially with headphones - some of the overdubs and background stuff going on there are amazing and way ahead of their time. |
________________________________________ [Mar 17,2009 1:54pm - DestroyYouAlot ""] LOL @ my already working on my post when you pop in with Vol. 4. [/COLLISION COURSE WITH WACKINESS] |
__________________________________ [Mar 17,2009 1:55pm - brian_dc ""] Snowblind is easily my favorite Sabbath song. |
________________________________________ [Mar 17,2009 1:56pm - DestroyYouAlot ""] I'm actually listening with just the left earbud in to check out the bass stuff - all kinds of wacky shit in that side when you take out most of the lead stuff on the right track. |

_______________________________ [Mar 17,2009 2:32pm - Pires ""] the wizard. Ftw. I've always wanted to cover that song but I know I could never pull off the harmonica solo. I could try and hilarity will ensue. |
_________________________________________ [Mar 17,2009 2:33pm - metal_church101 ""] We always pulled that solo off with a Rusty Trombone. |

__________________________________________ [Mar 17,2009 3:11pm - largefreakatzero ""] Yeah, I would have to agree about Into the Void -- the opening riff is beyond heavy and the chorus riff can only lead to epic head-banging. |

______________________________________ [Mar 18,2009 12:09pm - Beorht-Dana ""] Where can you find 78s these days? Every used record shop I've been to only has 33s and 45s. Also, while obviously not as good as Ozzy and Dio, Tony Martin era Black Sabbath is way underrated. I've been rocking "Cross Purposes" lately. Ian Gillan on the other hand... |
_________________________________ [Mar 18,2009 12:15pm - xmikex ""] Play the Wizard harmonica part on a pastrami sandwich a la Al Bundy. |
_________________________________________ [Mar 18,2009 12:19pm - DestroyYouAlot ""] I think you'll mainly find 78s in old blues/jazz/swing/country/folk stuff. |

Tyr is a hugely underrated album as well. The first song, while not as heavy as some other songs, is one of my fav Black Sabbath songs. The riff is godly. |
_______________________________ [Mar 18,2009 4:43pm - L@mp ""] I wish my record player went to 78... I bet grind rules at that speed. |
