Also wear leg weights for your own personnal practice time an then take them off for band practice. Heel up and down exercises while sitting at work are great to do as well. | __________________________________ [Mar 16,2004 4:33pm - Kalopsia ""] a drum trigger merely makes the drum beat sound better. take the bass drum for example. if you are doing fast double bass, and the drum is only miked, the sound coming through the PA will sound muddy, because it's only picking up alot of air being pushed through. hook up a trigger to the drum, and you get a processed beat every time. this will make ever drum hit discernible and sound good. triggers can't be used to make u sound faster than you really are going. they are hooked up onto the drum. |

Do you use triggers at all? I've got an AlesisDm5 and I only trigger the bass drums. I beleive that if you know how to tune your toms correctly you shouldn't have to be a trigger whore like some that are out there. But it is also a preference issue too, some do and some don't. |

That is the pedal that allows you to do d.b. with just one foot right? It is not worth the money bro. Don't get it isn't worth it at all. If you are interested in doing db, while utilizing the hi-hat, mapex makes a db pedal that connects to the hi-hat while you play db. It is alright to but to me there is nothing like the feel of 2 bass drums. |

I saw Primus when they came around last year and Tim Alexander rocked the triggers like you wouldn't believe.
