A bassist and a drummer anyways. We're writing like fiends and recorded a few instrumental tracks that the bassist wrote... Anyways... we're trying to come up with a name, and jesus christ, it's hard as hell. All my suggestions get shot down, and I shoot down all the other guys suggestions. hahaha. We had one that we were all psyched about, then the bassist changed his mind. arghhh. Not looking for suggestions or anything, just venting about how annoying the process of finding a suitable name that everyone in the band agrees upon is. If writing the music was this difficult, I just wouldn't bother. |

When we were still "alive", we did a radio interview on the local jock metal station, and the station manager flipped out about our name, so for the duration of the interview, the DJ referred to us as "Cluh-torture". hahaha. What's the new band sounding like ryan my boy? Hmmm. I suck at describing sound. Not like Clawtorture really. It's still really heavy, but in a different way. It's every bit as aggressive as you'd expect, having heard Clitorture, but more "subtle" for lack of a better term. More dynamic too, rather than just constantly pummeling the shit out of you. The songs breathe a little more. Taking more 'risks' stylistically, as a result of not worrying about being a grind band, or deathmetal band, or whatever. I guess I'd call it Hardcore, but I use that term loosely, cause my definition of HC is usually different than others. I'm trying to stick to what I do best... Heavy and dark. I've also been getting into a lot of "D beat" crust/punk stuff, like Tragedy and Pisschrist, so the fast parts are more in that vein. We just wrote a new song with a doom part that is like a religious experience for me. So fucking heavy. Of course, there's the obvious stoner rock/metal influence as well. I think you'll dig it once we get some shit recorded and start playing shows. |
