However, I don't think it will translate well into film form. Epic-length novels seldom do, so much important stuff is always cut out. Also, I don't think the movie-going audience will want to sit through what would translate into about a 45 minute speech that is pretty much the cornerstone of the entire book. On a side note, did anyone see the Daily Show a few weeks ago poking fun at Rand and Atlas Shrugged? Most of what Stewart was making fun of was misunderstood and taken out of context (like the how selfishness as a virtue thing) but it was still pretty funny. |
