I was always under the impression that light is the fastest constant speed, but there are other means of traveling than at a constant speed. For example, black holes are so powerful, light can't even escape them. They distort space-time. I gotta read this.. |

The faster something goes, the more mass it accumulates, the more force needed to get it moving faster. 99.999% speed of light is doable. but these are radio WAVES, so I guess they can do that. Since meters are a fixed unit of measurement, and the speed of light is a fixed unit of speed for a mass, if something were to go faster than the speed of light, seconds would have to change. That's the time-space distortion you're talking about Aril though I'm no expert in the field, so I could be wrong. As for the speed of light being a constant... If two trains were going 200 mph each and they cross eachother, wouldn't each train perceive the other train to be going 400 mph. Apply the same principal to light. I don't know if I agree or disagree but it's something to think about. Also, radio waves are light so I don't know how they made light go faster than the speed of light. [img] |
